A Decent Read, A View Of the Current Struggle

Jim Pinkerton is his own guy , and writes from a perspective that seems simpatico with mine, so of course I will recommend this read.

He has put a lot of pieces together in this that I have seen assembling out there in the mist.

We are in a war, the other side has us marked for gradual extinction or servitude in the long run.

I do believe they have overplayed their hand with Obama and Soros and their ilk.

We have a chance to roll it back for the next generation, to shift to individual skills and individual achievement, to have an economy that becomes a magnet for the doers of the world. America with freedom is a kick ass powerful machine.

I talked today to a … Continue reading

Modern Times

I have a new phone.

In olden days of yesteryear, such an announcement would have been greeted with a big “So what?”. A phone back then was a simple device , used for the simple task of speaking directly to people anywhere in the civilized world. Such a feat amazed my mother, and my grandfather, who grew up in even simpler times, but for us denizens of the late 20th century, a phone was no big deal.

Today, they are our alter egos, our valets, our staff of loyal servants. They have become, for many, a critical part of daily living.  When they stop working or are lost, you can see the twitching, the muscle memory in play , the person reaching for the device that is no … Continue reading

Crossroads

The GOP is at their crossroads. The Progressives and their Donors have been content to fund the GOP as long as they toed the line of transformation of the US into an elite run nation, run for the benefit of the top ten percent.

They were never supposed to win and actually govern to make change.

They have a stark choice now, an uncertain future where they can win and change the country back to a republic or they can choose to destroy themselves by turning on the voters who brought them their current positions in exchange for donor and media promises.

JFK had a book written called “Profiles in Courage” and it became a TV series during his presidency.

It is time to see how this sorts out. … Continue reading

Untitled Ramble

Okay, my Zen State is still barely intact.

The media and their monkeys in the DNC and the Deep State, plus McCain and sundry Nevers are accusing Trump of leaking a story about intelligence that was already in the papers , disclosing a city that might reveal the source, except he was not briefed on the city and no one in the room was asked to corroborate the story.

Can we just accept we are in a cold civil war right now and there will only be victory and no compromise?

I had always assumed we would be the insurgents fighting the deep state, but apparently the progressives are now in near open revolt.

The progressives are offering nothing but vitriol and bile.

Meanwhile, industrial output is at … Continue reading

A Peaceful Easy Feeling…

I have finally acquired a sense of Trumpian Zen.

After the eight years of concern about the most dangerous president the country ever elected and the constant terror that they would be successful in dismantling the last bastion of freedom, I am finding a sense of peace descending.

The media is not longer worthy of following day to day, minute by minute.

The White House is mostly sticking to their agenda and trying to learn as they go to avoid pitfalls. What is not happening is a series of dangerous , insane crazy initiatives that will change the republic beyond recognition.

The people on the other side now can sweat minute by minute , day by day and waste their energy on the end of their world as … Continue reading

Schumer Draws A Red Line

So the Dems are going to shut down the Senate unless Trump appoints a special prosecutor and Sessions is not involved in replacing Hit The Road Jack Comey.

I think the media bubble is at full boil and the way past the public giving a damn.

So far, Old Mitch McConnell seems to be standing up. Time for some rule changes and killing the filibuster , along with making McCain chairman of the post office naming committee.

Meanwhile, jobs are growing and OCare is blowing up.

Let us see if the GOP gets a clue and learns to play hardball.

Stuff You Do Not Want to Need

Like a fair number of folks, I have always had a basic kit for each vehicle we owned. First aid, tools, flashlight, oil, water, blanket, chains, rope, jumper cables, maps, compass, road flares and fire starters.

Cleaning out my old truck and sedan and transferring the kits to the new vehicles, I checked the gear that had accumulated over nineteen years of ownership in the vehicles and trashed some, replaced some and added a few things to update the mix.

I found a few items that I envisioned if I needed them, things were not going well, but, better safe than screwed, so they were added to the kits.
