Who Put The Twit in Twitter…Who Put the Bomp in the Bomp De Bomp Bomp

David Brooks NYT Nonsense   (Does not open in new tab)

This one takes the cake for showing just how arrogant and cloistered the elites are. I meet lots of Americans every day that I will match up against any Dreamer you care to name, but none of them come from the circles Mr Brooks travels in.

I do believe “And the horse you rode in on (if you could ride a horse)” is a partial proper response to this unmitigated twit.

Davos

Mass media is the Opposition Party.

I was listening to NPR talking about Davos over the past few days.   They made a point of telling us, with their distress clear in their voices, that President Trump received a warm reception there.  They said he was treated like a “rock star,” with contempt on their lips.  Of course, I think the President of the United States of America should be treated well wherever he goes no matter the circumstances.  I saw other journalists were similarly outraged that the American President was treated like an American President.

State of the Union

It is that time of year. One of the biggest events on the political calendar. The President of the United States will give the State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress and the American People (how I so loath that term, but…). I have an observation about this event that might strike some of you as iconoclast, but I hope that you will at least get something from it that will prompt you toward a more local outlook of politics instead of slouching toward Gomorrah.

For the past four months, I have been working as a defense contractor at the Office of General Counsel for the Secretary of Defense. Basically, this office looks at everything from amendments to current treaties or defense agreements, requests … Continue reading
