Davos

Mass media is the Opposition Party. I was listening to NPR talking about Davos over the past few days.   They made a point of telling us, with their distress clear in their voices, that President Trump received a warm reception there.  They said he was treated like a “rock star,” with contempt on their lips.  Of course, I think the President of the United States of America should be treated well wherever he goes no matter the circumstances.  I saw other journalists were similarly outraged that the American President was treated like an American President. On the first day one of the economics masters of ceremonies observed that Trump has received shabby treatment by the media.  There was more outrage at that, but now I cannot find it… Continue reading

Trump’s Fake News Awards

I can hardly wait for this. The Fake News Awards, those going to the most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media, will be presented to the losers on Wednesday, January 17th, rather than this coming Monday. The interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2018 I have my guesses about the Losers.

Bob Corker– “fake news”

I am on the distribution for Senator Corker’s e-mail newsletter.   This Tuesday, his newsletter included the item below, which I am copying in its entirety, since it is just a short piece out of the longer message. I thought it was interesting to see Senator Corker react after he had received shabby treatment by the Lamestream Media. In an interview with host Brian Kilmeade on “Fox & Friends”, Senator Corker pushed back against false reports about why he supported tax reform. Corker is not a member of the tax-writing committee and had no involvement in crafting the legislation. He requested no specific tax provisions throughout the months-long debate and had no knowledge of the pass-through provision in question. Corker said he supported the legislation because our country will… Continue reading

Christians in Israel

I saw a couple of recent stories about Christians in the Holy Land. There was this article about Bethlehem: http://religionnews.com/2017/12/19/in-christs-birthplace-olive-wood-artisans-carry-on-a-holy-land-tradition/ Here are my favorite media critics looking at that article: https://www.getreligion.org/getreligion/struggling-to-keep-olive-wood-traditions-alive-in-bethlehem This article covers the Christian exodus from the West Bank, as seen from the point of view of the Christian hog butcher of Beit Jala: https://www.haaretz.com/middle-east-news/palestinians/1.830920 I thought they made for interesting Christmas reading. Trump made his announcement about Jerusalem in response to the shenanigans at the United Nations; I do not think he intended it to be connected in any way with either Hanukkah or Christmas.

Trump Administration v. the U.N., re. Israel

Lots of anti-Israel resolutions have been voted for at the United Nations.  Until last year at this time, the United States used our Security Council powers to veto them.  Last December, Team Obama deliberately allowed one of these resolutions to get passed and made a public pronouncement as they stood by and failed to act. Egypt introduced a new resolution that would have forced all U.N. member states to comply with last year’s anti-Israel resolution.  Team Trump cast a veto. U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley gave two brief speeches, before and after the veto.  You can read the transcripts of both speeches at this link: https://www.timesofisrael.com/full-text-of-nikki-haleys-speech-at-un-security-council-debate-on-jerusalem/ Here is the second half of her second speech, which gives you everything you need to see: The United States has done more… Continue reading

Russian collusion !

“The Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked his US counterpart Donald Trump for help in preventing a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg. Data provided by the CIA enabled Russian security services to find and detain terrorists.” This is collusion that should be congratulated.  This is a win for the U.S.A. https://www.rt.com/news/413459-putin-trump-cia-information/ “…Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) arrested the members of a terrorist cell linked to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) in the Russian city of St. Petersburg. The extremists were planning a series of attacks on public places, including a suicide bombing and an explosion in Kazan’s Cathedral in the center of the city. During the raid, conducted overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, the FSB seized a large amount of explosives, weapons and ammunition and dismantled a bomb-making… Continue reading

FYI — Tom Steyer

I figure most of y’all know all about Tom Steyer.  But, just in case, …: Tom Steyer is the billionaire who is funding the “Impeach Trump” campaign.  He is well-known as a funder of Progressive causes and candidates, and is a villain who is second only to George Soros in the damage one person is doing to western civilization.  This is just to help you keep up with one of the bad guys.   I assembled a few links to inform a conservative friend who had never heard of him.  Here they are so you can share some information with your conservative pals.   Here are two recent background articles on Steyer and his Impeach Trump campaign: http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/11/09/tom-steyer-pledges-20-million-for-pro-impeachment-campaign/ New impeachment ads on tap as Tom Steyer doubles dump …… Continue reading

Judge Roy Moore story fact checking

Breitbart finally picked up on stuff I have been hearing for more than a week on Christian talk radio: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/11/21/court-documents-raise-significant-questions-leigh-corfmans-accusations-roy-moore/ A thorough search of court documents finds one court case in February 1979—a case that took place on February 21, 1979.  The [Washington] Post failed to tell readers that at that February 21, 1979, court case Wells voluntarily gave up custody of Corfman to Corfman’s father, Robert R. Corfman.  The two had been divorced since 1974.  The custody case was amicable and involved a joint petition by both parents. The Post further did not tell readers that as a result of the joint petition to change custody, the court ordered the 14-year-old Corfman to move to her father’s house starting on March 4, 1979.  Court documents show the father’s address in… Continue reading

You can’t make a buck anymore just for being a Friend of Bill and Hill

This is a story about the closing up shop of the Podesta Group.   This might give you, as Ms. RightAngles might say, “a terminal case of schadenfreude.” “The firm as it existed is essentially over,” one Podesta Group staffer said. “The vast majority of people are going their own way.” At an emotional staff meeting late Thursday afternoon, Fritts told staffers they could clear out their offices and said that Wednesday might be their last payday.    “We will try to compensate you on the 30th, but we can’t make any promises,” Fritts said, according to one staffer who was in the meeting.   … … “I kind of feel like the ball’s in his court after last night,” one Podesta Group staffer said, referring to Podesta. “His name’s on… Continue reading

fake news spread to undercut D. Brazile

“…one of the primary ways that democracy is degraded by platforms such as Facebook and Twitter is, for obvious reasons, typically ignored in such discussions: the way they are used by American journalists to endorse factually false claims that quickly spread and become viral, entrenched into narratives, and thus, can never be adequately corrected.” https://theintercept.com/2017/11/05/four-viral-claims-spread-by-journalists-on-twitter-in-the-last-week-alone-that-are-false/
