The Fuzzy Curmudgeon Observes

Saw the rally in Phoenix. Saw the media meltdown afterward. Saw the same old tired Washington Pros and assorted Street Walkers offer the same old sagely sprinkled advice to POTUS.

Stepped on his message…

Attacked the media for no reason…

Went off script…

A bubble of thought emerged in my Curmudgeon Scope.  To all the sort of conservative elites, who add the words “if only he would” to every sentence they utter about POTUS, I observe the following :

64% of the electorate is working class or former middle class .  For years they have had to wince at the mealy mouthed proper PC utterings of candidates you fawned over as the lesser evil choice over a rabid socialist.

Now, they hear what they like and you have … Continue reading

The Civil War

One of Brent and my favorite authors of history is Mark David Ledbetter. He is a professor of language in Japan, and obviously a great study of American history. He has written 3 books so far in a series about American history, called America’s Forgotten History, which are available on Amazon in kindle form for some nominal cost. He is also a member of R> and perhaps the ONLY saving grace to that place. He goes by Matty Van as Martin VanBuren is his hero. Here is an interesting piece of his about the onset of the Civil War.

“The great American tragedy is raising its ugly head once more, as it does occasionally. People on both sides are viciously accused by people on opposite sides, sometimes justly, … Continue reading

Navy – Driver’s Ed.

Good grief.

Apparently the whole Navy is too busy getting busy on the bridge to pay attention to anything.

It isn’t like cargo ships suddenly have cloaking devices.

I blame nonsense like this:

Every clown in that video should’ve been keelhauled sideways for a month. Instead they probably all ended up in Surface Warfare Officer School and made watch standers on our Destroyers in 7th fleet.

Shakin My Damn Aviator Head at this foolishness.

Right Angles, Political Correspondent: Trump Says Sky is Blue!

At the White House today, President Donald Trump assembled reporters. In a speech in the Rose Garden, the president said, “The sky is blue.”

But CNN’s I.M. Anidiot criticized Trump for not using the phrase “but only on sunny days,” saying this is clear evidence of being a Science Denier.

MSNBC’s Brian “I Took Fire and Almost Died” Williams reported that because Trump failed to mention clouds, the speech was a policy failure. Williams went on to say, “I know all about clouds because I have flown above them when Chuck Yeager and I first broke the sound barrier.”

Rep Maxine Waters called a press conference to object to Trump’s use of the word … Continue reading

I Got Yer Title Right Heah

I am starting to think our media warriors believe the battlefield consists of the bubble of their own making.

Once more, just like the NBC tape, the John McCain comments, the Mexican Judge, the travel ban, the inaugural crowd size and so forth, they think the POTUS is fatally wounded because in the bubble , by bubble rules, he must be.

Trump is blessed that his opponents do not operate in anything approaching the reality for a majority of American people.

Our elites have lived in the abstract so much they have lost comprehension for viewpoints from actual reality.

So we now have Antifa running amok with full throated support from Media, Dems and GOPe.

The pictures in the papers and on internet video are far from moving … Continue reading

When Jobs Disappear

Elsewhere these days there has been talk of a UBI – a Universal Basic Income. As one might expect, it has been proposed by Lefties as the basic means to guarantee all people a subsistence level of income. There are numerous arguments about why this is not a great idea, but I don’t believe we need to look at that here. We all grasp the underlying reasons society would not be benefited by this.

But beyond this, there is a looming question, not necessarily of our or even our children’s lifetime, of what happens when there are no longer jobs. The scenario runs like this. AI improves continuously until it is able to run everything – and better than humans. It is always on the job, it is … Continue reading

A Swell Battery

My old phone’s screen started to separate. I thought, “Oh, no!! It is going to be expensive to fix.” I looked on the Internet and saw the problem was a swollen Li-Ion battery. I had three options.

  • Go to the Apple Store
  • Go to a no-name Store
  • Change the battery myself
  • I talked to CT who is super smart, and he reminded that BDB had the same problem and was able to change the battery by himself. So I thought if BDB could do it so I can I. I was able to buy a battery with a tools to open the phone.

I did it. I almost messed up. The reason because I didn’t go through the YouTube video at least once to see the things to … Continue reading
