Dime Update

I have been busy trying to finish things up for this year. While I was doing things I thought about trying my hand at starting and online forum ala familywoodworking.org in vBulletin. I bought a book and everything.

I knew BDB was busy and wanted a few more functions. I also wanted to know how hard that task would be. I contacted John Walker. He gave me some good ideas and help. That happened five days ago. Things happened very quickly and the site is up. As BDB and MLH know sites take time and energy.

I want to thank all you BDBers for putting up with me these past months. All the best!!

I get it about Roy Moore

I get it, if he’d won he would have been a saddle sore on the GOP’s rear end for every day he was in the Senate.

But I couldn’t help hoping last night, when it looked like Jones won, that someone would find a bag of uncounted votes in the trunk of a car, that would put Roy Moore over the top.  Just for the Uber Irony Factor.

Appearance on the John Batchelor Show

People, and I’m being generous so I’ll include dime in that category, may find of interest two recent media appearances I had.

It’s also on iTunes.

I was also recently on C-SPAN3. https://www.c-span.org/video/?427553-2/global-positioning-system-history

“Former CIA Director Regrets How Intel Agencies Treated Trump” — ya Think?

Not much to add to this.  The whole case is laid out as a “Gosh, think how it must have looked to Trump when we all shat on him and endorsed his opponent.”  Reasonable enough, if understated.

From the Daily Caller:  He concluded: “So, I think there was a significant downside to those of us who became political in that moment. So, if I could have thought of that, would I have ended up in a different place? I don’t know. But it’s something I didn’t think about.”

I’m grateful to this guy for stating the obvious, as the obvious does not constitute a useful fact — only statements on the record are facts where it really counts.  This is an admission against interest if … Continue reading

A Question for the Tribe

I watched a good bit of the Pensacola Rally that POTUS led.  I remember the debates during the campaign on how the rallies would have to stop if he got elected, how politics was not done that way anymore and so forth.

I am curious to hear from my compatriot BDBers on their opinion of the significance or lack thereof of the rally, why it was done and what effect it had.

My reaction:

The messages he wanted to send was one of relaxed fun. He is clearly having fun doing the job, he is in a good mood and showing anyone who watched that joining his side is more fun that the resistance. He has good news, things are moving the right way and the other side … Continue reading

Hate – Level 10

There are two entities worthy of hate. Microsoft’s Win10 became corrupted and wouldn’t update its version, so after TWO days of MS level two intervention, I’ve had to wipe C:/ and start over. That leads to iTunes reloading and its concomitant misery. I will kick their respective asses, though. Pray for me.

Curmudgeon Musings on the Unfolding Scene…

Some musings on the unfolding civil war…

My read of Trump is he understands timing of his moves. He needs the tax cut and he needs the year end funding silliness to be done with before he can act and take a political risk.

It sure sounds like he has been building up some countermoves to Mueller and the ‘resistance’.  He also knows he has to set the stage for everyone’s Christmas season.

I expect a slow and small series of counter moves to keep the media off balance , to get past the Alabama election, to get the tax bill signed into law and to have … Continue reading
