Trump has decided not to show up to the White House Correspondence dinner. This I think is a wise move. They attacked him and this is his counter-attack. It reminds me of WWII and how MacArthur fought the Japanese on certain islands. He didn’t. He cut off their supplies and let the jungle do its work. Especially with proud people this is the best strategy. They think you cannot live without them. They really do. Sad.
Trump plays the no show card, again.

I’ve long been wanting to see a Republican president ditch the White House Correspondents Dinner. Glad Trump had the guts to do so.
Amen Brother La Roche
The MSM refers to itself as the “fourth estate,” but in reality, it believes itself to be the first arm of the Democrat party. The Donald is refusing to cower and will not allow them undeserved credibility.
Douglas refers to the Fourth Estate as a Fifth Column.
Do you have a sixth sense about this, Douglas?
ET’s comment has me in seventh heaven!
Are you doing figure eights?
I’m on cloud nine.
Nine is good but when you are a perfect 10 well it don’t get much better. (See what you started Douglas.)
Not a bad move. Without him there, they will be on their worst behavior and broadcast nasty nonsense , making them look their worst.
Great point. I expect this fiasco to make Saturday Night Live look like Shakespeare and to be broadcast in high definition all the way to Neptune.
Exactly according to Steve Bannon’s master plan. I’m really beginning to like this guy.
They are their own worst enemy. Let them fly their freak flag proudly.
We’ve skipped 2-3 here, you numerical maniacs (no wonder I was an English major), so may I suggest:
2. Black Lives Matter protests
3. OWS movement in downtown Manhattan.
Liz,
Sorry, I was on my elevenses and missed those.
You just move so fast, Dime; not all of us can keep up. :)
I am a dime a dozen, Liz.
Thank goodness I’m not one of those people who suffer from triskaidekaphobia or I wouldn’t have the nerve to post this comment.
How many days in a fortnight are there again?
I’m surprised no one referenced a baker’s dozen, but I suppose triskaidekaphobia fits just as well.
Anyway, I remember briefly watching one of these events when George Bush was president. Steven Colbert made nasty remarks about him, and he just sat there and took it.
I thought then and I think now that it is inappropriate for the Head of State of this country- powerful and important, I’m told- to be casually mocked and ridiculed by leftist hacks and lying partisans, offering no response.
It was as if Bush had been captured by a troop of baboons and every single one of them was ceremonially mounting him, to demonstrate their dominance. Bush’s willing submission to this beastiality was one of the myriad reasons why he was such a miserable failure.
Our current president has chosen otherwise.
Advantage: Trump. In spades.
Spades!!
That counts as a number, doesn’t it?
Fort night was fourteen so we are on 15. Any takers?
Fifteenadekaphobia!
Bam!
That just happened, and won best picture.
Or…
Sweet. I will go for fluid ounces is a pint.

Liz, slow down. You are talking nineteen to the dozen.
February’s 51st day of the Gregorian calendar.
Can we meet for lunch here, 21 West 52nd Street?
I’ impressed!
I actually ate dinner there for the first time when I was age 22. (Dad paid.)
If Dad pays that is as easy as one 23.
