For those of us who follow politics and world events, it is a difficult time.
The campaign, the election the post election, the inaugural, the cabinet all seemed to provide a constant and near immediate stream of events and event-like internet chatter , which is like artificial sweetener to a news junkie.
As the lines are being drawn, the Deep State, the Media, The DNC and the Never-Right, along with their mouthpiece McCain versus the Trump voters, we enter a new era of slower pace, where things can play out of a week instead of an hour.
I find it is hard to shift gears to the new pace, knowing it can all blow up into a frenzy at a moment’s notice.
I see a lot of the voters wishing Trump and crew well and going back to their lives, but still paying attention.
It seems to be time to read a book instead of headlines, to shift to a higher gear for some cruising down the highway.
Someone let me know if they abolish the IRS in the next week or so. How are you all coping with the pace of events and chatter? Are you still engaged 24/7 or putting it aside now and then?
Still following the goings-on in politics. I don’t perceive much slowing of the pace. Eventually it will have to slow because
(a) many will get bored with the drama
(b) people have to return to more parochial concerns: work and family
All this applies to the normals, i.e., everyone except the regressive left. They never get tired of drama and they put politics about everything. Expect them to continue long after everyone else has gone home.
My fond hope is that leftist agitation will begin to look ever more crazy to the normals, which will result in marginalization of the hard left. I can dream, can’t I?
I do believe your dream will come true. Americans in general will give Trump a shot to see what he does. The hysteria is only hardening his support and making the opposition look like they are deranged. People look around and do not see the country descending into chaos and fascism except in the mouths of the crazies.
They seem to have a lot more time than normals to stir up trouble. They don’t have the same demands on their time as normals, apparently.

Personally I am mostly tickled pink when I do listen, which is less often. The fun part is still watching the frenzy. Tucker Carlson had some lefty that was sounding positively demented, raving about fascist and how this was exactly what Hitler did. Too bad she knows no history, INCLUDING the definition of fascism.

That would be me, but the open hostility of the Democrat party is hurting the economy; particularly, this week on Wall Street. Most investors are amateurs and just like a herd of sheep, are easily rattled by inane commentary, regardless of the financials.
And this is precisely the game plan of the party who depends upon dependents to win.
