Fair Catch

If you have sworn an oath the support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and you have no idea what that actually means, I’ll make you a deal.  All you have to do is admit that you held up your hand for no reason. Admit that you signed a contract without understanding it and they said there was a paycheck in it for you, so you mouthed the words without knowing, without caring what you were promising, and I will let you go.  No strings attached.

Walk away from your job.  Walk away from your pension, your retirement, your healthcare plan and all the rest of it, because you lied to get them and they are not rightfully yours.  Government service is service, and if you are unwilling to support and defend the Constitution, you are not serving — you are stealing.

One goal of this site is to allow people who have sworn that oath to take part in discussions about what it means.  There are many right answers and there most definitely are wrong answers.  One of the wrong answers is “I don’t know or care or feel obligated.”

The Constitution need a better class of federal employee, and I bet I know one way to get that.  Expose those who do not care about the Constitution, who think the Constitution is fundamentally flawed, who will not support it as it is, instead of how they wish it were.  Does that sound like a lot of finger-pointing and hair-pulling?  Well, we have the text of the law on our side, and we are going to chase you, hound you, harass you, shame you out of your comfortable offices.

So you can call for a fair catch at the 20 yard line.  Stop fighting, stop playing, stop obstructing the restoration of this Republic.  Lay down your arms and go home in peace.  Or get chased home by an angry mob, pitchforks and torches, wolf howling in the distance.

We have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution.  We will start with those who in their ignorance or malice have sworn the same oath and who will not uphold it.

Ready set go.

My problem is, I don’t know where else to go.

I debate with people, I argue with the couple resident liberals on the Reunion Committee for my Basic class, I write letters to my congressman, and even my senators (Durbin & Kirk [phew!]), I vote.

I really am beginning to think nothing short of taking up arms will solve this problem.
