Town Hall Meeting in the Village of the Darned — 830 PM Eastern Wednesday

It’s that time of the week again, when we connect for another town hall meeting in the Village of the Darned.

If BDB or Dime report they can host earlier than 9PM Eastern, I’ll update.

Lunch Box

Well, it was not actually lunch but dinner. I was on a motorcycle trip to Hokkaido. In my opinion the best way to go was on a ship from Maizuru to Otaru.  Here are pictures inside the ship. The ship takes 20 hours and leaves at midnight.

As anyone who has waited to drive on to a ferry knows you wait in line. Unlike a car you talk to the other riders in the motorcycle line. Next to me was an old guy on about 150 cc motorcycle. He said in his younger days he traveled around Hokkaido on a bicycle but … Continue reading

Welcome, TSNyunt!

Just a quick note while I’m at work to say thanks for joining!  Look around — most folks here are on US time, but there a re a few tucked into odd corners of the world.  There’s a chat thing which you can now access — it’s really bare-bones, and you can’t even see who is on — it literally *just* does chats.

Privacy here is respected but not enforced — that is, it’s the internet — nothing is ever truly offline once it’s online.  Just the same, I put out a good faith effort to keep things tidy.  Any poor hygiene is at least not intentional :-)

Introduce yourself!  As much or as little as you choose to share.

White Privilege

This is a hot can of milk tea from a vending machine. The name of this product is 白の贅沢 which means White Luxury. Down at the bottom of the can is a blue tilted rectangle with a gold map of Hokkaido, the Northern Island of Japan. The best milk comes from there. Only the finest for this Sock.

Was it okay for me to enjoy this tea? In the future should I bring tape to … Continue reading

Musing On A New Client

The elites are having their bonfire of the vanities on full display- Harvey, Paddock, Take A Knee, Pwerto Reeco and so on.

While the bubble bubbles, another business owner asked for help, so I went to see if I could assist a glazier, bleeding cash.

I get to live in a different world, where real folks do real things and try to build a business despite the sound and fury from the media.

All the noise just fades away and I see people worried about their life’s work slipping away, wondering how they got where they are.

I listen, ask a few questions, listen more and decide I just might be more good than harm in this particular case.

It all comes down to trust. So the guy … Continue reading

Your Kind Aren’t Welcome Here

This is the link. (The video in the link is NSFW.)

People fail to realize when you saw off the branch for others one should not go out on a limb.

1, 2, 3 … “This is different because these people offended MY beliefs.”

The name of the coffee shop is Bedlam. Hmm … No, even I don’t want to make a joke on such low hanging fruit. (No pun intended but I don’t feel like changing the idiom.)
