The GOP is at their crossroads. The Progressives and their Donors have been content to fund the GOP as long as they toed the line of transformation of the US into an elite run nation, run for the benefit of the top ten percent.
They were never supposed to win and actually govern to make change.
They have a stark choice now, an uncertain future where they can win and change the country back to a republic or they can choose to destroy themselves by turning on the voters who brought them their current positions in exchange for donor and media promises.
JFK had a book written called “Profiles in Courage” and it became a TV series during his presidency.
It is time to see how this sorts out. If they turn on Trump, they will be destroyed by their voters.
The question is, are they savvy enough to grasp that?
Let your voice be heard.

Saw Clapton in Birmingham Alabama back in the early 90’s. Such a genius how he makes it look so easy.
Definitely. I saw Clapton around the same time at the now defunct Irvine Meadows in the OC. My friend’s sister worked for some record company and got us great seats.
The most amazing and yet frightening aspect of his career is that Clapton was a seriously destructive drug and alcohol abuser; how on Earth he managed to produce the magic he did puzzles me to this day.
“The Progressives and their Donors have been content to fund the GOP as long as they toed the line of transformation of the US into an elite run nation, run for the benefit of the top ten percent.”
I would disagree only in that Progressives want to use the top ten percent to give the bottom ten more incentives to stay there. That dynamic is precisely what gives them political power. If we were all rich, what would we need Chuck Schumer for?
As an aside, anyone who ever wishes to attract my attention need only to post a video of Eric Clapton. Thanks for that.
ET, my view is the top three percent want seven percent to be their servants and the other 90% to die off as surplus population , living a seventh century subsistence existence to preserve the Earth for the elites enjoyment.
And that is my best view of them.
A decade or so ago this comment could’ve been dismissed as insanity. Today it is hard to refute.
TKC, I was referring to Progressive politicians; if there is no more self-induced poverty caused by drug abuse, illegitimacy, illegal immigration or fake racial discrimination to bluster about, what issues do the Schumers of the world have to campaign on?
Example: School choice is an issue for them because God forbid their constituents get a decent education and maybe even a good job. Sanctuary cities are encouraged to attract minority votes from those already here legally. (Although this dynamic continues to confuse me.)
What would be the DNC’s raison d’etre then?
