This is the last steps to the top of Takatori-san. It is about 300 meters higher than my house and two miles away.
Steps going down.
The view from the top. In the picture is Wing Stadium, a soccer stadium .It is at the left middle of the picture.
The risers look short; makes sense I guess: better to baby step your way to the top than pull a muscle half way up.
Do you climb this regularly for exercise? Also, where are all the people, hope you didn’t scare them off.
I walked it a little late. If I got there about 6 am there would have been the 60ish Japanese out in force. I think some of them walk it everyday.
I haven’t walked it recently but I have been walking more recently.
Vald, do you usually scare people when you walk? If so, can you share some pointers because whatever I am doing doesn’t seem to be working. They mostly just laugh.
Is it smoggy or cloudy?
Cloudy.
Kobe has a robust mass transit so it is rare that I ever get into a traffic jam. Toll roads/highways can be bad at times though.
Vald, as to risers, I had to look at the first picture again. I remember the last stairs being steep and see the ones leading up to it were not so bad.
Japan likes to make stairs in parks. They are not that much into switchbacks.
My pedometer says I burned 807 calories going there and back.
