Who is "Occupying Wall Street" and Why?

[pullquote]this President toys with civil war[/pullquote]If you have ever wondered just what a “Community Organizer” actually does, look no further than this evening’s coverage of unemployed masses now demanding the livelihoods, the liberties, and the very lives of their fellow Americans.  No President has ever been more divisive.  Abraham Lincoln led us into war to abolish slavery–the divisions were already there and in the end, he united us.  This President toys with civil war as an acceptable collateral risk inherent in his program, and if you are reading this, odds are he is not on your side.  If you are reading this, odds are he has already lumped you in as an enemy.

[pullquote]I find it difficult to criticize the individuals[/pullquote]I look at the news and I reach for my pistol.  Good thing there’s only an iPhone hanging from my belt.  I am dismayed and frankly ashamed by the petulance displayed at these “Occupy Whatever Street”  events spreading across the country.  At the same time, I find it difficult to criticize the individuals involved–this is bigger than them, and those are Americans who would no doubt like to succeed, rather than hang about in ill-washed leaderless clusters.  Time is important–the movement will “develop” leaders as the professional labor thugs and university professors with nothing better to do make their presence known after all.

[pullquote]those are our fellow Americans[/pullquote]I look at them and reflexively I carp that if those shiftless bastards had jobs to go to, then they wouldn’t have so much free time for trouble-making.  Except that’s the point.  They don’t have jobs, and it’s fair to assume that many would like to work.  This is the hinge.  Those are not our enemies in the streets.  Not yet anyway.  Those are our fellow Americans who have believed what they are told by the President, the government, the universities, the high schools, TV and movies, pop culture magazines, and even rock & roll itself.

[pullquote]Obama’s bitter hatred for the United States[/pullquote]I do not blame President Obama for the initial recession, but everything afterward is his and his alone, from the class warfare tone soon to break out in violence, to the long and sustained decline in our collective (ahem) fortunes.  His candidacy was marked by angry rhetoric and Marxist incitement as only a “community organizer” can shovel it.  His economic policies are of a piece with his zero-sum rich-against-poor philosophy of morals, and his bitter hatred for the United States finds expression in everything from his worldwide bowing and apology tour to his repeatedly stated goal of fundamentally transforming the country.  He has set the table for this awful feast before us and is now serving dinner.

[pullquote]jobs will not return until Obama is gone[/pullquote]This President’s hateful speeches are now parroted by those whom he has impoverished, and they demonize those whom he has hobbled.  Jobs will not return until Obama is gone, and he knows it.  His first priority is to shift the blame from his own destructive Marxist policies and to focus the rage of the unemployed on the very businesses which Obama prevents from creating jobs.  Having failed in his attempt to talk $2 Trillion “off the sidelines”, he now unleashes an army of those who feel they have more to gain than to lose by smashing the rich and taking what they perceive as theirs.

[pullquote]militancy, entitlement, and despair is a toxic brew[/pullquote]This combination of militancy, entitlement, and despair is a toxic brew and threatens the country to a greater degree than most have yet realized.  These are not anti-globalization hooligans upset about where their coffee is harvested.  These are our fellow Americans ruined by our Marxist indoctrination system of culture and education, embittered by pre-ordained foreclosures of too-good-to-be-true loans that the banks made at the point of the government’s guns, and whipped into a teeming mass by the Provocateur-in-Chief.

Now is the time to talk our fellow Americans down from the ledge.  The banks didn’t take their jobs, impoverish their parents, de-value the currency in their pockets, cookie jars, and bank accounts, and the banks didn’t plan to write loans to voters like hot checks to the future–the government did.  The Democrats did.  Obama did.

Obama is a failure, and is circling the drain as we speak, the only question on his lips, “Is Wall Street burning?”  Do not let him take your neighbor with him.  Reach out.  The goal is to reduce the number of our enemy by reminding many of them that they are, in fact, our friends.
