Why did the wind blow off the one guys hat and not the other guys hat? Is there a trick to keep those things on in the wind? The military is usually prepared for anything.
I remember my brother telling me he was out in gale force winds preparing to leave on a P3-Orion. They decided to cancel the flight but thought it was good to send the guys out in the wind.
I thought that due to Trump’s fear of stairs, he could not do this.

He stood his post. Note he did not salute because in the Marine Corps you do not salute if you are uncovered. However, when President Trump put his cover back on he might have saluted – and kept it from flying off the second time.
But TKC is right – you’d never have seen either Clinton or Obama do what Trump did. It would be beneath them.

I disagree on Obama. Every president who was physically capable (thus not Wilson, FDR, and perhaps JFK) would have picked it up. FDR and JFK would still have pointed to it to direct the Air Force aide to pick it up. Obama and Bill Clinton would have really played it up.
Even if she was physically capable, Hillary probably would not have.

I knew it! Sock, footwear (both socks and boots) get holey – note that I didn’t say ‘holy’ – and wear out. Hence, not ‘always faithful’, although they come close.
