GOOD SHOW, Speaker Boehner and Leader McConnell, in telling the President to find more revenues where the sun don’t shine! I am officially off the war path of abandoned-by-my-party indignation (as promised), and I think that if you message this right, you can win back a lot of Tea Party support, so foolishly squandered in the Continuing Resolution debacle–bygones. You’ve already done the hard work–now get the word out. I’ll help.

Here’s what else I’ll help with: Call the President’s bluff on the August second doomsday. When have ANY of their economic ideas, pronouncements, dire warnings, or hasty actions ever turned out as they were supposed to? If we present a united front, and defend that which we very well know to be true (the world will not end without a debt ceiling increase on the second of August), we will win. The 111th Congress should have raised the ceiling to accommodate their ugly expensive baby ObamaCare, but they did not want to be seen admitting the true cost of the disaster. Make them pay for that hubris, rather than allowing them to make us pay twice.
STAND FIRM, and do not allow the debt ceiling panic to sweep us along. We will be fine. Do not be swayed by the lurid and divisive tactics of Marxist agitprop. We will help you make your case, but we can only do it alongside you.
You gentlemen are going to have to get out in front of some cameras and microphones, even if it’s all conservative outlets, and get the soundbites into circulation. We who hate Communism and who bitterly oppose the policies of the President will lift you up in discourse and float you across the debt ceiling deadline.
Give us the rhetorical ammo, and let us lay down covering fire for your run across the valley. You will like it on this side–we have cookies.

This is an excellent piece and I’ve been very pleased with Speaker Boehners attitude so far.
He’s told the American Public (those who were paying attention and NOT wondering whether or not Casey Anthony news was on some other channel) that Obama refuses to put anything specific on the table, nothing in writing – not even which new taxes he wants, much less spending cuts – LOL, mentioning Obama and spending cuts in the same breathe is funny!!
Of course, given that my sole income is from SS, I won’t be all that thrilled if they don’t raise the debt ceiling and Obama goes through with his bluff not to send out those checks and Veterans checks but I’m willing to risk it if it means we cut more than he spends for a change!!
