Unfortunately, the target is “generic Republican”, and the timeframe is next year’s election. This miserable campaign speech masquerading as a military announcement is a signal to his base and to the rest of the world that the only enemy he will commit to fight is Republicans. Assad? Fine. Taliban? Fine. Ahmadinejad? You kidding? He’ll call me names in the UN! No, no, no, let me be clear. We’re outta here.
Moron Democrats have no concept of honor or victory. They are seized with, possessed by, a retarded concept of balance wherein we should never win but always tie, there is no right and wrong, and good news should be met with the punishment of those who achieved it.

How this pompous communist professor can square reality with his pathetic flat-earth ideas is beyond me. We have largely recovered the situation which looked so dire just over a year ago, and this has been accomplished by a lot of fighting and dying and a whole lot more outsmarting, outlasting, and outkilling.
How is it that this sorry son-of-a-bitch does not understand that you ride a winner? After asking the magnificent General Petraeus to effectively demote himself to go lead an effort like the one he had led years prior, Obama seems to have merely played along for a “decent interval.” Honk if you know what that means. To pull support at this point is irreconcilable with American interests, just when things are getting better and the ground commander has explicitly asked to retain enough troops to pivot from the hammered south and west, to focus on hammering the east. But no. The failed economist and failed lawyer now wishes to add failed commander to his otherwise thin and unremarkable resume.
Obama’s disgusting surrender will turn sacrifice into waste, progress into exposure, and honor into cowardly shame and humiliation. Oh, and stand by for bad headlines. Expect a pregnant pause and then a shift of momentum.
Our guys will fight like Hell to prevent this, and they will have to despite being undercut by the crass political calculations of their feckless commander. Summer 2012 indeed!

My commission and my career did not mean so much to me that I could abide continuing to issue orders for a COIN mission for HIS show; with the guarantee of the American death and gore that would result.
