The President has had an awful week-or-so.
He began by attempting to sandbag Israel so the Muslim middle east would let him onto the bandwagon, but he got schooled by both sides, whap-bap.
He lost phony “Doctor” Cornel West, a normally reliable lefty racist honorary “professor” who won his seat on the bandwagon by shellacking Clarence Thomas. It’s okay though, the media is still covering Obama on this front. West is an unperson and will be savaged.
David Mamet, the highly-respected playwright whose works are loved across the political spectrum has completed his conversion to the conservative side of things. Standby for Mamet to be dismissed as a no-talent brainwashed jerk.
The OBL bump turned out to be a tumor after all. Pakistan has accepted Chinese guarantees of protection against… the United States. It’s okay, the media is still not covering this either.
Netanyahu gave a speech to Congress which received more applause and more standing ovations, and from both sides uniformly, than any since… George W. Bush under very different conditions. Netanyahu was gracious and tried to bring the President back into the community of leaders, but the damage was done.
His car was high-centered in a driveway while visiting the United Kingdom. The bandwagon could have cleared that curb, no problem. YouTube was all over this.
Finally, he high-centered himself at a formal dinner by attempting to toast the Queen of England by raising his voice to be heard over the playing of “God Save the Queen”. While he droned on, nobody raised a glass and nobody drank, leaving him briefly the loneliest, smallest man on the planet.
LEVEL = ELEVATED
When the music was over and she could accept the toast, she of course did not drink (one does not drink for a toast to oneself; everybody knows this, right?), and so he also did not drink to the Queen, for a toast that he himself proposed. If he were not excused for being a complete dolt, he would be in hot water for that terrible insult.
Don’t worry, though. The media will focus on how the band and the Queen got it wrong. Because they never do this sort of thing at Buckingham Palace.
