Nothing but the Best for Friends

Recently I had someone come in from out of town. I thought I would treat them to something special. In the East we treat our guests right. This is the outside of a Dime 5 Star. One notices right off the start the most modern technology is being used. Yes, that is the Waitress 5000 Vending Machine. All you do is push the right buttons and you get your ticket for culinary delights. As you can see from the posters this lunch was not in the 10s but in the 100s. When have you paid 500 or more for a lunch?

No expense is spared on the inside. To add to the health and convenience of the patrons chairs are not needed. You just give your ticket to the helpful staff then you watch them prepare it.

The two big silver cylindrical objects are rice cookers. (You can never have enough rice at a noodle shop.) The water is as you can see is on the counter and allow you to fill your fine plastic glass to the proper level as many times as you want. (REFILLS ARE FREE) They have fine biodegradable eating utensils. On the counter before those utensils there is a red topped container. In that container is powder red pepper that you spray on the noodles.

I took this picture of the helpful staff.

Of course if you have someone like Brent show up.

I like the three-tiered display case – are those the real entrees inside? And I love the ladies!
I think Brent should rate more than a Noodle-Mat.

Thanks for the come-with, Titheness…The ladies’ smiles are dessert-worthy…I know your guests had a socksational time.

How do you embed the hyperlinks?

    • MLHMLH says:

You use “<" before the link words and " after but there is also a code letter. for . bold is b.

or, you might edit your comment after the fact

Nevermind, ask Dime and he can lead you to where he posted this before. . .

Brent, I wrote the post so I got a special dialog post. It gave me a “link” in the menu at the top.

Let’s see if this works. You need to get “a”, href= [url], text, and finally the /a at the end. I will use an example picture with Hello, Brent .

    Hello, Brent

It was one of those great experiences. Mr. SiS had read about these places and had wanted to find one; not sure we could have without the sockman’s guidance. It was fun!
If I knew how to post a photo here, I would.

Whoa… that brings back memories of Honk Kong, especially the food displays in the windows.

    • 10 Cents10 Cents says:

Do they use vending machines too, Douglas?

      • DouglasDouglas says:

You know, I can’t remember…. we’re talking late 80’s here, pre-handover to China. But HK was the cleanest, safest, most modern city I’d gotten to visit in Asia (I never got to go to Japan), so you would THINK they had vending machines. But all their restaurants had these display windows with examples of the dishes in them… they were freeze dried or something, but they didn’t look fake. My biggest surprise was going into a 7-11 to get some personal care stuff and finding this in the toothpaste section:
