If it’s a parody, which it sounds like, that’s very hard to sustain through a whole book, even if it’s short. Usually parodies are just essays, because it’s all one note, and it gets boring if it goes on too long. I think Donna Brazile’s book is the only lefty tome that will make money for quite a while, because it’s more of an expose.
Also, it could backfire as you say, if some starlet comes out with a story about Baldwin that aligns with the current Hollywood expose meme.

I’m just thinking along the lines of everyone saying “you can’t spell America without me. Me, one of the many socially, politically, economically, religiously, educationally, ethnically etcetera-ly diverse.”Or, more succinctly: Me, one of we the people.

oh I see, I had not interpreted it like that. It’s a phrase that could be used to support almost any movement I guess, sort of like Hope & Change.

    I hope you’re right.

I’ve mentioned it to couple of acquaintances at work. One got it right away. The other, a delightful Democrat (and I am being sincere), needed it explained.
