A Few Questions on Visas

I was thinking about the immigration impasse with the court. We have 97 mostly tech companies that are suing for the right to allow anyone in they claim they need. We have an activist judge and a lunatic appeals court who believe God falls under their jurisdiction.

We have a tied SCOTUS and a nomination to get through.

If you are blocked one way, try another. Anyone here have the answers to the questions below?

Can all H1B visa suddenly get slow walked for those 97 companies?

Can individual visas be called in for a security review?

Can green card holders be called in for a security review?

Can new refugee visas just stop being issued?

Can a person who is granted a Visa or green card be … Continue reading

They All Look The Same

Sometimes I worry about things.

The average American person responds to images, sometimes in a powerful way.

After 911 they all saw images like this. They do not run the ones with the people falling anymore.

Over the years they have been treated to imagery from various terror attacks, all with a terrible sameness.

Now we have the Black Lives Matter anti police riots.

Ink Stained Wretches in the 21st

The night Castro died I was at my daughter’s house for the weekend. With three granddaughters from age 3 to 7 and 5000 square feet if gets loud and  fun when the grandparents come for the weekend.

After the kids are watching Frozen for the (insert improbable large number  here) time, the adults usually do what happens in a quiet moment these days and check their phones.

My daughter informs me that Castro has died. I look for a web site that has the story and find none. I ask her to check her sources and she tells me it is all over Twitter. None of my three newsfeeds has it, neither does CNN, Fox, ABC, or AP.

She shows me her twitter feed. I had flirted with … Continue reading

Best In Show

I watched Lady Gaga  demonstrate how to deliver the goods to her audience and show business in particular.

I was impressed. After seeing Madonna at the March of The Annoyed and Annoying , being victimized by celebrity videos and the culture they represent, growing angry at the performers who could not bring themselves to perform at the Inauguration , she rolled out what it means to be a professional and put on one heckuva show.

I would like to think she valued her audience, but she also valued her craft and knew any ‘statement’ would be the only thing remembered.

So, the Immaterial … Continue reading

To BDB Members- A Question

I have a tendency to post short shots with a few images of what is on my mind, to stimulate conversation. I have written long pieces but my life rarely allows that.

I am worried that I am filling up the site with posts and it has never been my intention to be the only person posting. I have no desire to be unwelcome here. So I will pause from posting and ask the following:

  • Am I writing too much ?
  • Is it ‘shallow’ and simple and would you prefer fewer but longer pieces?
  • Do you come here for conversation or to just read the post and move on?
  • I adapted this style based on a few concepts in attracting people:

  • A site like this needs regular followers … Continue reading
  • Super Sunday Blues- Updated

It’s Superbowl Sunday and I seem to have lost my enthusiasm. Between the knee taking and the Progressive twaddle of the halftime and the demonization of Brady I hit a limit.

    The-Blues-Brothers-sunglasses3

I used to be a fan but a certain crowd seems intent on preaching to me as a paying customer.

That really gets  my hackles up.

Just like when the government tells me I am deplorable and need to think better, and funds dangerously divisive diversity dung masquerading as social improvement.

Now we have District Judges declaring the executive branch needs to convince them the actions are needed.  Not constitutional, … Continue reading

    More Media Matters

I watched the press briefing today on Whtiehouse.gov.

The first half of the session took questions from local reporters via Skype.  The questions were varied, and actual , you know, questions instead of carefully worded gotcha bombs we got from the Washington contingent.

    skypebriefPublication1

South Florida wanted to know about Cuba policy. Imagine.

The local media made the Washington goons look like thugs and weasels.  I understand they will be bringing in bloggers and such this way also.

You should see it for yourself, you may make it a daily watch.

This is a significant notch in attacking the media warfare arm of the … Continue reading
