Corporations Are Your SJW Enemies

If there’s one little shibboleth about capitalism that we can toss in the trash, it’s that capitalism is the enemy of Marxism and a counter-balance to Leftist politics. The idea was that capitalism, because it supposedly was driven primarily by the rational instinct to make money, was resistant to political forces. If there’s a customer need, companies would fulfill that need regardless of political opinions, because there’s money to be made. We’re all finding out in the 21st century just how wrong that assumption was. Adam Smith apparently underestimated the strength of political passions vis a vis commerce (and Karl Marx apparently was wrong about his philosophies not meshing with the pursuit of wealth). We now see examples every single day of corporations metaphorically leaving money on the … Continue reading

Why I hate Normie Conservatism, example XXX

Once again, so called Establishment Conservatives prove that the only America they really care about is the one that lives in their heads, built in a model that prioritizes their ideology and mocks actual American citizens.

Today’s example: uber Neocon  and NR/Ricochet stalwart John Podhoretz is lecturing us about immigration, and doing so by attacking Stephen Miller.

Apparently, since Miller isn’t on the Open Borders train, he’s an apostate Jew, judging from the links Podhoretz gives to back up his attack.  Miller’s crime here, apparently, is that he demands that, among other things, we only take legal immigrants and that they should meet some minimum qualifications … Continue reading

Conservatism, Inc. is crumbling

Starting after the 2010 mid-terms, there was a growing, angry group of people on the Right that began to abandon conventional conservatism because they perceived that the big personalities of the Right didn’t actually want to accomplish Right-Wing results; they just wanted to sell books, cruises, and do fundraisers. In other words, Conservatism, Inc. This group of people grew larger and larger, eventually rejecting “establishment Republicans”, and forming the core of voters that elected Donald Trump to the White House. Since Trump’s nomination (and victory) those people have seen a steady stream of examples that their suspicions were correct: it was all just a bunch of hucksters that wanted your money, and when the chips were down, they’re not really that conservative at all. National Review’s Against Trump … Continue reading

Austin isn’t Texas, it’s the ANTI-Texas, example xxx…

I’ve long said that Austin is an invasive cancer in the body that is the great state of Texas, and Austin constantly proves me right:

Austin mayor skipping Veterans Day parade over Confederate flag

“While Mayor Steve Adler announced he will not march in Austin’s Veterans Day parade Saturday “because that parade will include groups carrying the Confederate flag,” … Instead, Adler said he will honor veterans on Veterans Day weekend by volunteering at the Central Texas Food Bank, which he said serves a large number of the local veteran community”.

So not only does he insult Texans, the manages a concern troll AND virtue signaling in one stroke with the food bank comment. Texans should wall Austin off, Escape From New York-style, physically containing it the … Continue reading

Oh, NOW you want to “avoid a culture war”?

So Democrats are angry that Trump keeps throwing them off of their new “Better Deal” campaign with flareups about social issues. They’re worried that things like transsexual bathrooms are proving to be unpopular with voters. They’re worried that the Alt-Right and the Alt-Light are stretching the Overton Window wider than the southern border. The linked article notes…

” Whether it was his response to the Charlottesville white nationalist march or his condemnation of NFL players who knelt during the anthem to protest police brutality, Trump forced Democrats onto the battlefield of his choosing.”

Maybe the Democrats should have thought this through a little better before grabbing their pile of chips and going all-in on Black Lives Matter, gender-is-a-spectrum, and  “So DIE already, whitey”.
