Being on Auto-pilot

BDB called it on the Fitzgerald, the destroyer that was hit, accident. The freighter was on auto-pilot. 

I watched a documentary about the huge cruise ships and didn’t know that those behemoth also run on auto-pilot most of the time. I think our jumbos and wide-bodies do the same. Just think of it. These multi-ton things can have no one engaged steering. People get sloppy and then the accident happens.

I wonder how much of our lives will be on auto-pilot in the future. What are your predictions?

My Eyes’ of Georgia

I thought this song was about Georgia.

Well, I was wrong but the eyes are on Georgia 6 now. The Dems know how to pick ’em. The guy doesn’t live in the district because he wants to support a girlfriend he has been DATING 12 YEARS. What is the guy waiting for? Menopause?

Dad’s Day at BDB’s

We have only one member with “dad” in the title but I would venture to guess that biology being what it is we had some situation with a dad. This is a day to say thanks and remember the good.

My dad loved people. He was a true character. I don’t know if I will ever meet someone like him ever again. He died at 77. I am left with many gems that he shared. He never lost the joy of the child.

In some ways my father-in-law was a father to me. I felt his love. How strange history is! I bet he never thought his daughter would marry an American. He was always there to help but never to push. I lost him a while back … Continue reading →

Camille Paglia gets to the point quickly and effectively. She is one liberal who is willing to think and push back. Even though I am sure we would disagree on different things at least we have important things we both value. PC and Regressive Left are not good for society.

I caught a YouTube of her commenting on how societies that are soon to fail go against masculine virtues.

I am trying to remember if anyone in the news business have ever succeeded by moving to another network. They never seem to get the magic back that made them popular. Saying that I think Megyn will go the Roger Mudd, Connie Chung, Katie Couric, etal route. She had a good thing going and like a lot of stars will find out how much of it was them.
