I have no idea how a book club works. But we should definitely do that. Here’s a pleasant book on ordinary life. Nevermind the title about statistics, this book is about things. I read it as an audiobook, but I suspect some of it is more clear in print.

Here’s how a book club works. I buy 30 copies of a dreadful book for 50ยข each and sell them to you for $4.75. Then you look for deep meaning in the deep doodoo while I pocket $127 and change.
A plan?
This is my kind of club!
?How about we just list books we really enjoyed reading. They all won’t be to everyone’s taste, but they’ll be an interesting collection of titles.
Agree and I’d love to start a book club.
Here’s my first contribution.
Terror at Beslan by John Giduck.
This is a book about the school siege in Beslan, Republic of North Ossetia (part of Russia in the Caucus Mountains). I first gives a little history of Spetzneaz, then of Alpha and Vympil, two of the foremost groups in couter-terrorism in the Russian system. It then describes the actual siege in excellent detail, then goes on to analyze what happened and the lessons.
For those with interest in terror, tactics, mindset, etc of such actions, it is an excellent book.
