Data Warehousing (is) For Dummies

Good heavens. I have discovered that the social sciences are not the only jargon-bound fools. Data Warehousing has its own lexical morass of conflicting and unnecessary terminology. This is a symptom of intelligent people attacking problems which have already been solved, failing to do the research, and inventing new terms for what they think are new concepts. The worst effect of this i that they get the borders of the concepts wrong, and can never be sure exactly what they are talking about. Chomsky spoke to a packed audience of over 80 people in an empty room above Café Bol via skype from his academic offices at MIT in the US. He spoke on several subjects during the one-and-a-half hour lecture. These included a brief history of the World War II, US imperialism and involvement in Latin America over the past three decades and the consequences as well as a more recent take on Pakistan.

The American right, especially the Tea Party, is just as angry as the left ever was in their frothing and immature rages against the machine.  The difference is that the right knows when to shut up, for the most part, and the time for talking is past.  We have seen who will listen and who will not, and it has become perilously clear that the GOP leadership is not listening.  The time for voting comes next, and it comes with a warning.  If the GOP leadership does not manage to get untangled from Washington motivations long enough to defeat Obama and destroy or damage his anti-American program, they will leave their support out in the cold.  America is not a country where any sizeable section of the population … Continue reading
