The Ingrates of Wrath

Well, Obama’s army is at it again, both in the streets of Washington, and the editorial meetings of the Associated Press.  This time we find terrorists damaging critical infrastructure that our economy depends upon.  Why?  Because one group of union thugs is upset that their strike (or whatever, I don’t care) was upended by — wait for it — the hiring of different union workers.  Ooh, those filthy capitalist yankee running dogs! How dare those pigs hire people from a different union?

Hundreds of Longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain that is the center of a labor dispute, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha.

Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said.

No one was hurt, and nobody has been arrested. Most of the protesters returned to their union hall after cutting brake lines and spilling grain from car at the EGT terminal, Duscha said.

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union believes it has the right to work at the facility, but the company has hired a contractor that’s staffing a workforce of other union laborers.

This is not the oft-discussed dumping of oranges in a Steinbeck novel of grinding interminable oppression by price-fixing, orange-dumping, plutocrats (Oh, and Roosevelt’s disastrous economic policies, but that’s another matter).  This is simply about power.  Getting it, keeping it, displaying it.  The privileged leeches with great pensions are bound and determined to prevent the hard-pressed proles from upsetting their arrangement, and the media gets the message loud and clear.

No matter what you think or thought about unions, you need to realize that in modern America, unions are just another Marxist tool, domestic enemies inside the wire.  Nevermind the honest, hard-working Americans who are one way or another “members” of the unions–I am talking about the Obamaist leadership of these organizations, and their subsidized goon squads, like those who feel that the safety of their union “brothers” who operate the nation’s rail system is a small price to pay for the consolidation of their own power.  Eggs for omelets, after all.

Nobody has a “right” to a particular job, or to a job in general.  You have the right to try, to apply, to access the job IF HIRED, and no union sons of bitches get to keep you away from your job.

The American worker has a choice to make, and believe me, they will always be welcome in the midst of those who know that businesses create jobs, and workers create businesses.  The right will not begrudge labor its dalliance with organization, especially in times such as this.  But the unions themselves must be smashed, or they will bring this all down.

Don’t take my word for it.  Ask the otherwise unionized railroad crews, or the union labor whose employment has these goons literally out in the streets, tearing things up.

And a note to the AP–these are not “protesters” who “returned to their union hall”.  These are Marxist thugs who are rioting and looting, destroying property and infrastructure alike, and actually — in your own words — taking hostages.   I know that journalists feel a need to fit stories into a narrative quickly, sometimes more quickly than the facts are known, but nothing justifies this shameful laundering of domestic terrorism.

Jerry Ceppos, dean of the journalism school at the University of Nevada, Reno, said journalists’ impulse to quickly impose a frame on a story is “genetic.”

“Journalists developed automatic framing protocols generations ago because of the need to report quickly,” he said. “Today’s hyper-deadlines, requiring journalists to report all day long and all night long, made that genetic disposition even more dominant.”

— from the New York Times pathetic weak-kneed half-apology for blaming the Giffords shooting on Sarah Palin, Time, the Enemy

Giffords shooting blamed on Palin, but union thugs taking hostages referred to as “protesters”.  How swift they are to blame the right, yet absolve the left.  This is terrorism.  I eagerly await the AP’s correction.
