Chaz Bono is a mentally ill woman who has been mutilated by talented but twisted doctors. This process of “gender re-assignment” is a cultural phenomenon and a sign that we live in some very sick times. People become convinced of many things which are not true, but this does not obligate doctors to perform surgery in honor of such madness.
I wrote about this several years ago, in the case of a Florida city manager:
This is no simple personal elective surgery that Steve Stanton has chosen. It is not like removing an appendix before journeying to Antarctica, or having those tonsils out after a series of non-specific illnesses. Those are procedures which rational arguments can be mustered both for and against. The procedure Stanton wants, on the other hand, requires acceptance of a whole raft of radical liberal ideology in order to view the surgery as anything other than insanity. We can all tell who is a man and who is a woman when the pants are off. Only a crazy person sees one and assumes the other. No amount of liberal brainwashing from the University will convince me otherwise. In the Bizarro World of academics and journalists, the only good man is one who has no use for women.
I do not know what happened to Mr. Stanton that he should think he is a woman. Perhaps it was something in his childhood, or perhaps he was born with a brain defect. Either way, nothing requires me, or the City Council of Largo, Florida, for that matter, to play nice with this madness. When a crazy person insists that he is Henry VIII, you are free to denounce his madness. Extend sympathy if you wish, but you will not be accused of “discriminatory” behavior for calling this lunatic a lunatic. Same for Napoleon, next time you see him staggering on a street-corner. And the same goes for the alleged “Susan” Stanton, the next time you see “her”, with or without her penis, in the Largo City Hall.
Perhaps Chastity Sun Bono never stood a chance. She was named for a 1969 film which starred her mother Cher as a troubled ambisexual woman. That movie was written and directed by Chastity’s father, Sonny Bono, explicitly for his wife to “star” in and thereby gain notoriety. Chastity (the child) was conceived during the production of Chastity (the film), and was born around the release of the movie. Cynical much?
Now Cher has re-emerged as a strident LGBT supporter, of the “if you criticize my self-mutilating dau–er, son, you’re intolerant” variety. A convenient position to hold, for a failed parent and a media-whoring freakshow of mutilation in her own right.
Cher, your daughter is crazy and it’s your fault. This will end badly.
I know that many disagree with me, and I don’t care. I am no more required to entertain the indirect and benign madness of those who see only what the television shows them and who think what the television approves of, than I am required to agree with the malignant insanity which causes people to amputate perfectly good parts of their own body. The doctors in particular should come in for some scrutiny. There is no way to reconcile this sort of disaster with a mandate to do no harm. They convert a mere failure to thrive into a tragedy of irretrievable destruction.
