Once again the superior erudition of Dems is shown again. They need Mike Murphy and Steve Schmidt to help them out.

There are two “s” is Ossoff, Pencil. One “s” does not do him justice.

And there was no joy in Never Right Land , for Mighty Ossoff had struck out.

The Dems and NeverTrumpers lose again. Haha!

While there may be some excitement in a dem loss, unfortunately I don’t see that we advance much.

?Who is Handel. I suspect yet another apparachnik, albeit from the republican side. There are way too few Trey Gowdys out there.

You’re getting to be as bad a punster, Pencil, as you-know-who.

Sorry to be a wet blanket re: this election, but it was Newt’s old district and more recently that of HHS Sec Tom Price. Price won his last election by 24 percentage points. It is a highly affluent, once overwhelmingly Republican suburb and frankly, I was concerned that Handel won by a mere 4%. ):

On the upside, Ossoff did outspend her 7-1 thanks to hefty contributions from angry liberals in NoCal and Martha’s Vineyard, but I think Trump proved (ironically) that money isn’t everything in a political election.

It’s ironic that the Left is always complaining about money in politics yet they are the first to throw tons of money at an election in the vain hope of changing the outcome.

They are wrong about everything. Refusing to face reality has its downsides.

There are no words to describe the utter hypocrisy of people from the West Coast and the Northeast sending money to a candidate running in Georgia.

What is most disturbing is that the affluent, the ones who have worked hard to make many donuts are relating to the Democrat party.

Is it a “fashion statement” as Mitch Daniels once described a vote for Obama?

EThompson: “Price won his last election by 24 percentage points. It is a highly affluent, once overwhelmingly Republican suburb and frankly, I was concerned that Handel won by a mere 4%”

I wouldn’t be overly concerned. Ossoff increased the Democratic turnout last night over Price’s 2016 opponent by a whopping 24 votes. That’s right. 24.

Price’s opponent spent less than a $1,000. Ossoff paid $192 PER VOTE.

But the big news last night was not the decrease in win pct. between Price and Handel but the INCREASE in the Trump margin. POTUS won the district by a mere 1.5 points. Handel’s margin was 153% larger. So if the Dems intent was to make Trump THE issue they failed miserably.

  9. DevereauxDevereaux says:

There is a familiarity factor in elections. Newt and Price have had those seats a long time and people didn’t necessarily know Handel. So she won by a decent margin – more I believe than Obama won the country by. If she does well, she’ll get a bigger slice next election.

Frankly I was rather turned off by her (OR her re-election committee) constant alarmist cries for money. It was tiresome.

OTOH the amount of money spent MUST mean there is big cash in the congress – for the congress critter and for the donors.

I don’t disagree with this tiresome fund-raising issue. The Donald proved you can win with your message and do it cheaply: rallies and tweets!

If I hear another commentator criticize his tweets, I may go Defcon 4. I adore every communication received at 3:00 a.m. I relate to obsessive insomniacs!
