Robbery Update

The perp who stole my pistol and other sundry items from my truck a few weeks ago is still in the slammer, and they’ve upped the charges to attempted murder of a police officer. Suppose I won’t have to worry for quite some time about a repeat visit from him. I’ll likely have to testify at his trial since I captured video of him stealing my pistol after he arrived at the front of my house in a stolen pickup. Bet he wishes he hadn’t stolen my pistol now.

Do the right thing. This guy needs some serious time to reflect on how stupid he is.

My experience is the guys who do serious time have a better chance of taking corrective action than those who skip through the system on reduced sentences and early outs.

Some never change, but those who do seem to have to pay the full price.

It’s gratifying to see the miscreant is being brought to justice. Feels like this is rare these days.

I’ll definitely do everything I can to help the prosecutor.

The kind of robbery we suffered is usually never solved, so I’m happy that he pulled my gun on the cop, sort of… They didn’t find any of my other stuff with him during his arrest.

At least now I can stop daydreaming about shooting him during the robbery. That’s the downside of seeing him on my video.

Have you posted the video anywhere? Would youtube let you monetize it?

A relevant and amusing aphorism from Nassim Taleb:
“A burglar is only a practical socialist.”
