I always tried to keep my ironclad nominee support on the down-low, because I never liked the default nominee. \u00a0Unlike that chump Boehner, I do not open proceedings by surrendering the only leverage I have. \u00a0At this point, however, it is no longer cost-effective to mask my bottom line, because right now, uncertainty, not capitulation is the greatest threat. \u00a0I could be wrong and perhaps Newt will surge back to prominence. \u00a0But I’m not wrong, and you know it. \u00a0Newt is finished with campaigning for the Presidency. \u00a0He will continue to work for good things, and Heck–I will still send money to help pay down the bills, and support his ongoing work. \u00a0After all, we do not want people to think that a Tea Party run is the road to ruin. \u00a0But while I support Newt’s ongoing efforts, I’ll simply acknowledge that in all likelihood I will vote for Romney (the big jackass) while actively campaigning for other down-ticket races and issues.<\/p>\n
[pullquote]Presidential race just one among many[\/pullquote]That said, there is no requirement to stop being conservative warriors for what we know is right and necessary. \u00a0I urge all you Newt die-hards to consider the Presidential race as just one among many, like a Congressional election somewhere on the ticket that you don’t care too much about–just pull the lever marked R and get ‘er done. \u00a0There are a great many races on your ballot which mean next to nothing to you, because you don’t care a bit about anybody in them. \u00a0Just pull the R. \u00a0You hate the GOP, you hate the RNC, you hate Romney and his Fox News flying monkeys, but most of all you know that this election is about only one thing: Obama. \u00a0You know what to do.<\/p>\n
[pullquote]the movement cannot be sustained, will not hold Gingrich to his pledge[\/pullquote]I am pulling the plug on this thing based on what I have seen in my Newt circles and groups. \u00a0Even internally, the movement cannot be sustained on what slim margins remain. \u00a0I will not hold Gingrich to his pledge to go “All the way to Tampa”. \u00a0Not after what just happened, which I feel was unforeseeable except by a statistical minority. \u00a0Blind pig, meet acorn, etc.<\/p>\n
Newt will continue to work for conservative victories in 2012. \u00a0He just won’t be doing it as a candidate. \u00a0Okay, that is what I wanted to begin with, and I was furious at Newt when he jumped in. \u00a0Well now he goes back to where he has always been most effective–as artillery. \u00a0When Newt is free to attack and doesn’t have to defend (because he is not running), he is formidable.<\/p>\n
[pullquote]If you are the Tea Party, the Tea Party needs you.[\/pullquote]We must pivot quickly, and get re-organized, re-committed to the awesome task of fixing everything else. \u00a0We don;t get our nominee, but Hell if we’ll let Obama walk away with it. \u00a0Meanwhile, there are desperate, pitched battles being fought which need YOUR SUPPORT. \u00a0Don’t let your disgust (like mine) with Mitt cause you to fail like we did in 2008. \u00a0If you are the Tea Party, the Tea Party needs you.<\/p>\n
