Amy Alkon<\/a> is taking on the TSA. \u00a0After her unreasonable search (or sexual assault) at the hands of the TSA and the TSA agent’s subsequent attempt to shake a cool half-million dollars out of Alkon, she’s is lawyering up. \u00a0Except that the lawyers refuse payment, and have leapt at the opportunity to do this stuff pro bono.<\/p>\n

I have written that we should abolish the DHS<\/a>, releasing its constituent agencies back into the wild, and amputating many duties from the TSA. \u00a0Amy’s experience \u00a0is not only a prime example of why: it is a valuable lesson in how:<\/p>\n

That’s how Zahir Ebrahim, of Project Humanbeingsfirst.com, rightly termed the TSA searches — in his comment on the blog item that led to TSA agent Thedala Magee’s demands of me.<\/p>\n

Magee is looking for me to pay her $500K, apologize to her, and take down my blog item about her — because I had the nerve to exercise my First Amendment rights and complain after she jammed her hand sideways into my vagina four times. (Unfortunately for Ms. Magee, I’ve always made a pretty crappy victim.)<\/p>\n
