Of late there has been an inundation of marches, speeches, opinions on talking heads TV, and that ever-present skinny twerp who assaults other people\u2019s livelihoods because of disagreement while giving the communist salute. Hordes of kids suddenly are the smartest thing since Einstein, whose perspicacity we should unquestioningly be following. And all of it is aimed at eliminating the EBR (Evil Black Rifle). No less than a retired SCOTUS justice, Stevens, calls for the repeal of the 2nd Amendment. Although truth be told, he wasn\u2019t too bright while ON the bench, so one should have little expectation of new-gained insight.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile in support of the 2nd we see ….. nothing. Those few \u201cchildren\u201d who actually ARE wise enough to understand the 2nd and its importance are given no support, no news exposure, no national recognition, no face-time. No organizations on the Right, with the exception of the NRA (and even they are quiet and hunkered down it seems) have come out in full support of the 2nd. There is darned little serious comment about the fact that more people are killed with hammers than rifles, and LOTS more with knives than rifles – of ALL kinds, not just the EBR. Just now we\u2019ve had a federal judge rule that since EBR\u2019s are clearly military in nature, states can ban them, demonstrating once again that the Constitution and its wording rarely reaches most judges\u2019 brains, else he just might<\/i> have noticed the \u2018A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, …\u201d clause AND he might have noticed that the right was not given to states but the people. ?So who is left defending us and our rights.<\/p>\n
Well, apparently no one. We are constantly being told that we are \u201cdifferent\u201d from the European states, with the implication that as such we are beneath them. No one seems to remember that we broke with the Europeans<\/i> in order to BE different. There is a fundamental difference between us and them; they have caused their current problems with muslims (as well as their previous problems with us) and are now bemoaning the problems while defiantly claiming the creation of the problem was \u201cthe right thing to do\u201d. One needs to remember that America was created by people who were fleeing<\/i> European \u201csolutions\u201d. If we are different, celebrate the difference! There\u2019s a reason.<\/p>\n
Once again it seems we will be required to defend ourselves. It falls upon us to stand up and object, to speak out against this \u201cintolerance\u201d. We need to speak to our right to be armed, to the fact that ALL these \u201cshootings\u201d are the result of government not performing their stated duties. It is an altogether different discussion why<\/i> this is true, but enough to say it is – and it needs addressing. <\/p>\n
And stop listening to kids who are still wet behind the ears.<\/p>\n
