I listen, ask a few questions, listen more and decide I just might be more good than harm in this particular case.<\/p>\n
It all comes down to trust. So the guy I just met, after being listened to, hearing a few points and a two sentence description of what I do, hands me a check for the initial retainer.<\/p>\n
A handshake occurs, invoking a contract to provide the best I can do to help him hold em, fold em or double down.<\/p>\n
There is something seriously tribal in the process, something lacking from the large organizations I spent years honing the steel and then dulling it on the miasma of inertia.<\/p>\n
