I have long considered the media to be the main opponent in the country — they are why we can’t have nice things. At the bottom of every thorny and controversial problem there is the media at their most implacable.<\/p>\n
Abortion is an example — because they know about the slippery slope thing and they are trained in Alinsky\/Socialist thinking (unwittingly but definitely) they know to never give in and never admit defeat. So, even reasonable restrictions on abortion — such as those in Europe and most of the civilized world — are not something they can compromise on. They might even think some restrictions are necessary but don’t dare let that be known even for late term abortions. They can’t allow the principles of moderation and comity to be allowed because that would show lack of resolve and they might be pushed steadily backwards once any reasonable law or restriction is imposed.<\/p>\n
Think of Stalin’s advice to the Commies in America in the 1940s and 1950s: he told them to plead the fifth because this was advised by our leftist anti-American Commie lawyers. It helped staunch the wounds and they just kept their eyes on the ball and have come out as a major force to be reckoned with — several generations later with steady progress and damage to the country along the way.<\/p>\n
Trump looks to have the grit but will he be able to sustain this and win out at the end? (two full terms) He needs more people on his side and he needs to leave a legacy of committed people who will stand the test of time.<\/p>\n
Will Trump’s noble positions on all the important issues of the day be sustained after he’s gone? We all can learn a lot from him — especially about handling the media. People have to be trained to ignore the unprofessional reporters and media outlets. Politicians need to address the media as members of the Democratic Party — which is objectively true whether they are admitted Democrats or underground members who aid all they can in unseen ways. This has to be the assertion with every exchange with these representatives of the leftist part of the country and the easiest way to do this is to call them Democrats every day.<\/p>\n
