I have been having a discussion with some jarhead friends of mine and the proposal has been put forth that NK is not economically capable of almost ANYTHING. Their economy is something between $15-25 Billion, which is about 1\/5 the size of Alabama’s. Their annual fuel consumption is 15 billion barrels of oil.<\/p>\n
This makes their annual GDP per capita something like $400 per person per year. Even assuming a pretty paltry pay system for the million man army they claim, ?where’s the money come from. ?Where do they get cash to buy enough centrifuges to actually make<\/em> a nuclear warhead. They seemingly have uranium so they can mine it, so at least there’s a source for the raw materials.<\/p>\n But consider the military. The oil consumption of the military alone would exceed what they use in a year. ?Where do they get ammo, fuel, and all the other things a military has and does. ?Is there any real evidence that they fly their paltry jets.
