My dear friend: Neil \u201cWaylon\u201d Jennings passed away after a long bout with cancer. He passed away on Valentine\u2019s Day and there will be a memorial for him Saturday March 4th. You can read about Waylon at:\u00a0http:\/\/neiljennings.co\/<\/a>. He and I shared a special relationship in that he used to visit on business during the days I was far from God. He had seen enough and asked God to call out to me in an unmistakable way and show me the truth. Thankfully, his prayers were answered 9 years ago.<\/p>\n

Waylon was a tremendous author, vivid and transparent. Early in my trading\/analysis career he would proofread much of my work along with some of my early Ricochet posts. I am largely the writer I am today thanks to his encouragement and critique.<\/p>\n

Waylon was working on a book when he passed and his son JJ built the website and posted a link to the book. If you can find it on your heart to pray for JJ\u2019s salvation, please do so. He is an amazing, brilliant young man who despite his parents loving, caring, and nurturing and leading JJ to Christ is not yet saved and it was something Waylon wrestled with.<\/p>\n

This includes a variety of chapters and topics from favorite Bible passages, to amazing recipes to very vivid aviation tales. This is a very good read.<\/p>\n

Waylon\u2019s memorial will be this Saturday in Hanford, CA. In lieu of attending I pray the Lord will sustain me and send me to his wife to help with their homes, his effects, and odd jobs that need to be done weeks after the crowd disperses from the memorial. Enjoy the book and include his family in your prayers. Especially JJ – repay the precious gift his Father prayed over me when the life I was living was so earthly bright I could not see the pit it had become.<\/p>\n
