There are two entities worthy of hate. Microsoft’s Win10 became corrupted and wouldn’t update its version, so after TWO days of MS level two intervention, I’ve had to wipe C:/ and start over. That leads to iTunes reloading and its concomitant misery. I will kick their respective asses, though. Pray for me.

This is the blurb that got me!
You burn forever, but are not consumed.
Yup. And my comment hails from a survivor of Fortran via punch cards.
Sorry, to hear that. Hope your drive does not have some bad sectors.
Win10 so far has been fairly problem free for me, my only issue is the store gets hungup on downloads and I need to do a windows reset. Also the favorites sync really messes up Edge, so I shut off sync on favorites.
Having survived every version since Win286, it has been a real journey.
I go back to wiring boards and remember when cards were a major advance over punched paper tape. I also remember the built in cigarette lighter on the consoles for the mainframes.
Win10 seems to be a bit of the OS equivalent of the Simpsons’ toilet in the US Embassy in Australia:

My problems are mostly with MS Office on the Win 10 machine. I have all sorts of wackiness with text size on the screen and documents appearing partially off screen…
Go to Programs and Features and run Repair on Office. I’ve had to do this at least once a year.
My problems were right out of the box
How do you even get there?
MLH, in Windows, left click on Start, go to Apps and Features at the top of the pull up menu, then click on MS Office. Choose Modify and follow the prompts to repair.
Right out of the box, ctlaw, means nothing; try a repair anyway. It’s online based and may help with updated fixes.
