Town Hall Meeting in the Village of the Darned — 8:30 PM Eastern Wednesday

It’s that time of the week again, when we connect for another town hall meeting in the Village of the Darned.

BDB will be away instructing destroyer crews on how not to collide with cargo ships, tankers, cruise ships, and school buses. I’ll be on around 8:30 PM EDT.  Jam a topic in the comments below and let people read up if you like.  Example: “Why do sailors not know the difference between the acronyms for standard time and daylight time?”

If the software tells you that you’re the only caller, don’t you believe it! Press on with the access code and you’ll probably find us in there!

I have Liberty Think Tank tonight and will be unable to attend.

Kudos to the ever more creative titles for this weekly post.

    Thank you.

Good news. The Liberty Think Tank schedule has been moved up.

The Liberty Think Tank is mostly a discussion group hosted/sponsored by Victor Sperandeo, Tom Selgas, Dr. Edwin Vieira, Jr. and a host of others.

Dr. V may be of interest to our crew. You can read his work here. http://www.edwinvieira.com

Why the move to half an hour earlier?

  4. drlorentzdrlorentz says:

This article by Victor Davis Hanson discusses the two realities:
    1. the politically correct narrative about race, sexuality, and immigration.
    2. the truth about these subjects (private reality)

As Hanson points out, this was the same kind of dichotomy that existed in totalitarian states like the Soviet Union, in which people had to pretend that the politically correct narrative represented reality.
“Americans increasingly make the necessary adjustments, modeling their lives in some part as those once did in totalitarian societies of the 20th century. The reality they live is the stuff of the shadows; the falsity they are told and repeat is public and amplified.”

Since this came up on the call…

Sealioning: the act of jumping into a discussion with demands for evidence and answers to questions.
