Under the Radar

Meanwhile, the shift in voters continues, along with donors and allegiances.

Richard Trumka, AFL-CIO  executive is said to visit the White House weekly and is on the phone daily.  http://iotwreport.com/afl-cio-union-boss-trumka-says-trump-better-than-obama-on-trade/

This is a pillar of the Democrat support structure. Apparently , he understands the aspect of leadership that when your followers are going a different direction, it is best to get in front of them and yell “Follow Me!”

Here is where purists on the right will choke. To win WW2, we cut a deal with Stalin. To beat back the progressives, we need to cut a deal with Trumka. We just need to keep the deal short term.

The real enemy is the SEIU, who has a vested interest in the swamp.

The progressives are highly vulnerable on trade and immigration. Someday the GOP might realize that. Russia Russia Russia is not going to cut it in 2018 and the GOP better stop investigating and start legislating.

One of Trump’s strongest points is that he can follow a different play book.

And make it work. I truly admire the flexibility and adaptability of this great American businessman.

I’m standing behind him all the way because he has far more battles to fight than the obvious and he isn’t backing down. LOVE him.

The entire world is so mesmerized by socialists Obama and Merkel, he has absolutely no allies and few friends because he has decided to turn the world upside its head.

Latest quote from an article in Weekly Standard: “Most Europeans regard Angela Merkel as the leader of the Free World.”

Really? Germany? Sorry, they still don’t get a pass from WWII and frankly, the European continent got what it deserved. It didn’t choose to stop Hitler in Czechoslovakia, it allowed Hitler to simply waltz into Paris and Neville Chamberlain- to put it crudely- allowed himself to be prostated.

The one fact we can always depend upon is that history truly does repeat itself.

    Good article TKC1101.

I think Trump’s America first, tough trade deal positions align with some of AFL-CIO membership.

Your point regarding the SEIU is key. Could Trump cut a deal with Trumka to champion legislation that benefits much of the AFL-CIO while simultaneously disbanding SEIU?

While I can see Trump and his staff working strategically with Trumka on such a deal the problem comes in that if memory serves the only portion of unionized labor which is growing reliably is the SEIU.

While I wish Trump would try such a ploy to take out the SEIU. I believe his direction is to use Trumka to get reelected and to further his stated goals. I would do it, but taking out the opposition is not his driver.

One thing I will say, Trump has no hidden agendas, his are all out there on twitter.

Then they should expect Germany to defend them, not the far away people they apparently despise.

    • EThompson says:

That’s a pipe dream because Germany is dead broke. They’ve committed billions (not millions) of dollars to support 800,000 unskilled and uneducated Syrian refugees.

Sorry for any CoC code I may be breaking, but AM is an idiot.

P.S. Particularly as she grew up in East Berlin and should know better.

  5. EThompson says:

I’m on a roll now about Germany. They only contribute 1.2% of GDP to NATO and the requirement is 2.0% The U.S. contributes 3.6% of our GNP and while I’m at it, 33% of the UN budget.

Am I a Nationalist? Hell yes!

  6. Xennady says:

Germany can go to Hell. We owe them nothing, certainly not yet more blood and treasure wasted in their defense. If they don’t believe their own country is worth defending with their own resources, then they damned well shouldn’t expect us to defend them with ours.

Merkel isn’t merely an idiot. She’s a traitor. Her policy has willfully gifted her country and likely the entire EU with awful intractable problems she has no idea how to solve, and likely will not even admit exist.

But reality famously doesn’t go away because you pretend it isn’t there, and someone will eventually notice it.

Years ago I read a book in which the author made a point about lions. Or rather, the social organization of that species. He noted that male lions were commonly described as contributing nothing to the pride, because females did the hunting. He pointed out- in defiance of the usual feminist dogma that infects every bit of Western civilization- that actually the male lions were quite busy preventing lion cubs from getting eaten by hyenas.

I mention this obscurity because I find it striking just how thoroughly feminists dominate the West right now. Merkel et al are the sort of idiots who simply can’t imagine anything can go wrong that would require anything like the armed violence the West has long experienced. That is, the sort of thing that has traditionally involved men, called, “war.”

We still linger in the Great Before. Silly fools like Merkel still matter, because reality still hasn’t caught up with the Zeropian Yoonyun.

But it won’t be long now. I think the men of Europe will get a say in the fate of their societies, even if silly women like Angie Merkel object, no matter how many foreign savages she manages to import into her country. Someday, soon I think, silly people won’t be able to pretend nothing is wrong.

Added obscure bonus rambling: Anyone remember what happened the third time the Republic of Rome found reason to intervene in Greece?

My point- the status quo is not sustainable, one way or another.
