A Voice Worth Your Time

It is always good when someone you respect agrees with you. VDH is unique in his calm and reasoned way to observe and arrange the obvious such that even the Never-rights reluctantly have to pay attention.  His latest is a fine piece and worth your time.

I do believe we are facing a nation as divided as the one Lincoln got. Our political class is still as lousy as the one that presided over that era.

We will make some progress, but it will be a god awful fight uphill with one foot in a bucket and taking fire.

I do believe the more the courts , the media and the political class keeps attacking Trump, the more his support will solidify. I may be wrong, but W came under attack and he let them trash him. When I hear the Bush spokespeople pundit about how Trump should handle things, I remember how they let their boss get savaged to a 30% popularity by the same enemies.

It will not be a pretty process, and purists of ideology should find their fainting couches now.

“Never have so many bright people proved so dense. Never have polls and politics proved so unreliable or partisan. Never have unintended consequences so replaced predictable results.”

I like VDH for he doesn’t go for low hanging snark but weighs things with view to history. He is able to follow the facts.

I love how VDH calmly and methodically scrolls through the phonebook of Obama disgraces – in plain words, not overly emotional. He snaps open this starched bedsheet of facts high over the bed and lets it float down till it covers the whole expanse of Dem hysteria and NT grumbling. How crying-out-loud refreshing.

I like how VDH never forces his smartness or shows off. He reminds of Thomas Sowell in this way.

VDH and Steyn are the only two pundits I read anymore. They were right about things before anyone else, and continue to be unafraid of speaking the truth even to the ignorant on their own side.

They’re definitely intellectual bookends. I enjoy the composed, intelligence of VDH but the informed irascibility of Steyn as well.

As for the media, I continue to enjoy Tucker Carlson more and more. Beyond tenacious- he’s a pit bull!
