The View From Curmudgeon Corner

I guess we ae seeing what Trump is made of.

Under fire from the media and the deep state, wavering Nevers getting bolder , he seems to have decided to fight and fight hard.

After months of hearing theory on Russian collusion based on purported wiretaps, the media suddenly realizes he just called their bluff and targeted their standard bearer who they must defend.

He either has rock solid proof from Rogers at the NSA that there was surveillance or he is going all in on a hunch. Either way, he just threw down and the opposition has two choices- either their allegations  are made up BS or Obama was worse than Nixon.

I am impressed.  It looks like his advisors were counselling ‘ride it out’ and he decided to punch back.

By now, I expect he knows there will be no uniting of the country, and his job is to build his voters to become a firmer majority.

Next thing to watch is whether the DOJ decides to accept or ignore a TRO from the next idiot Federal Judge who blocks the suspension of entry EO. I have noticed they rolled out the fact that 300 refugees are under investigation for terrorism by the FBI. Sounds like a good reason to ignore extra legal TROs not based in the law.

The gauntlet has been thrown. There is no going back for the NTs or the President.

I love how previously it was accepted that of course Trump was getting wiretapped, because Russia.

Now, having noticed that this is an admission of lawbreaking, Trump is CRAZY to suggest that.

I want to see these lawbreakers frog-marched away to jail, where they belong, up to and including Barry.

And, fwiw, there never has been any going back. It’s another time for choosing, to rip off Ronald Reagan.

And how! It isn’t simply that he is the most aggressive public figure in the 21st century but that he is the least apologetic for being so!

He would never level such an accusation without thinking about 80 moves ahead. Read The Art of the Deal.

Great point. That book should be required reading at all business schools; particularly Wharton.

While I am generally impressed as well and not terribly shocked he still continues to heaping hot coals on his own head with some nonsensical tweeting.

When the media is doing themselves and previous admin hacks are sullying your reputation who is hosting celebrity apprentice isn’t highest order concern.

We will see what he is really made of when Congress sends their infamous Obamacare repairs to his desk. I hope he uses a gold plated Trump industries veto pen.

Ah, I am afraid replacing Obamacare is where I have the least hope for the President. I believe he will take the best deal he can get that could sort of work better and get past the congress.
By now he knows ever single kid that has to wait in an ER for cough medicine will be his fault.
Instead of rediscovering the homeless, the media will now find the medically dispossessed.

If he gets the government sixty per]cent out of it and lets the private insurance sector happen again, I will take what I can get.

It will be a rube goldbergian nightmare, but it will be hard to be worse.

Like I said, this is where is have hope for a draw, no optimism.
