?Can someone please explain all the huffing and puffing that’s come up over Trump’s comment that we’re killers too.
?Is it just that modern society has so isolated itself from killing that it no longer recognizes its need and utility.
I am hardly a fan of Putin. It isn’t that he’s a killer; it’s that he’s a thug, a gangster. Stealing that Super Bowl ring is a great example of that. But one should not ever doubt that we have killers among us and that they are necessary for the life of the society.

It’s because the left and its nevertrumper minions will rant and rave over anything Trump says, because that sort of thing is all they have left.
It reminds me of how the left managed to turn Wisconsin into a red state with their deranged antics when Scott Walker introduced his much-needed reforms.
Only now they’re doing that to the entire country.
Muwahahaha.
Get ready for 4-8 years of this.
I don’t think his statement merits outrage. What merits outrage is sometimes he would make life much easier on himself and those coming around to supporting him if he stopped being such an attention whore and know when to shut up.
One thing to consider. Trump knows he is drawing all the fire by being that ‘attention whore’. When GWB was there the Media turned on Cheney and Rumsfeld to demonize.
Part of the game here is Kelly at DHS and Mattis are going to have to do some tough stuff and Trump is going to draw all the fire. The Media will treat them with reverence and Trump gets the heat.
It’s a role you sometimes have to play to let your staff do the hard stuff.
Try and find one piece of media trash on either Kelly or Mattis. Kelly says the wall will go up and the media says nothing.
Lightning rods can be useful.
Still, I wish he had passed on that one.
It is news because it is the kind of stuff one of my Uncles would say to the horror of my Aunts.
In one way it was an admission that the US will use deadly force when needed and a real politic way of assuming the world does not grant much distinction between that and Putin taking out a journalist.
It was not a good moment. He needs to be a bit more circumspect about alienating supporters emotionally.
His detractors? Hell with them. All he needs is 5% more votes.
The left would be doing the exact same thing if the President was Jeb Bush and he never said anything in public other than banal commentary about the weather.
Whipping up outrage is just what they do- and just about all they have left.
“Can someone please explain all the huffing and puffing that’s come up over Trump’s comment that we’re killers too.”
It brought back some bad memories of Bill Clinton comparing 9/11 to Ted Kaczynski. I will tell you there is no more devoted Trump fan than I, who normally delights in all of the wonderfully un-PC remarks that come out of that unencumbered mouth.
Admittedly, I did flinch just a little at this.
In an era when a President can give the kill order on a drone strike, the ‘killer’ label is wearing thin.
The media do not care about the many Castro had killed, they are only pissed at Putin because he killed a ‘journalist’. Talk about selective outrage
Agree, but post-Viet Nam, Americans seem to confuse killing with “murder;” this was exactly the image the MSM was trying to project this week. I only wish DJT had sought to make this distinction.
With that said, the man has a lot on his plate and I would be the last one to criticize the excellent decisions he is making in the WH.
