More Media Matters

I watched the press briefing today on Whtiehouse.gov.

The first half of the session took questions from local reporters via Skype.  The questions were varied, and actual , you know, questions instead of carefully worded gotcha bombs we got from the Washington contingent.

skypebriefPublication1

South Florida wanted to know about Cuba policy. Imagine.

The local media made the Washington goons look like thugs and weasels.  I understand they will be bringing in bloggers and such this way also.

You should see it for yourself, you may make it a daily watch.

This is a significant notch in attacking the media warfare arm of the Progressives. It creates splits in local versus national news , it splits new versus old media and it broadens the information space.

One game the media has used is to focus on a single story and make their narrative to it last two to three days.  All questions are about the same story, all shouted out, all headlines, all newscasts, all editorials.

By broadening the media reach and forcing more stories out there every day, the single narrative loses it’s punch.

Old Strategy- React to the Media Narrative coverage and defend.

New Strategy- Never Let There be Only One Story.

This should be good.

I’ve been watching Spicer every day for several days. He’s GOOD. One thing I’ve noted: when the questions devolve into the usual speculation game or triviality, he promptly ends the gaggle.

Wow, that’s a laser strike to the old guard journos, of inviting regional media. Brilliant. Really thinking outside the bubble.

Great analysis and I think great tactic by the Trump admin.

I think it would be nice also if they end the daily briefings.

Maybe once a week, call it a wrap.

He needs to stay on target for jobs creation and keep the media off his back. I figure he has six months to show results.
Meanwhile, he has the Dems and the progressives now firmly on the side of not defending America,
If we have one terror attack, he will hang it around their neck.

Like you, I have noted the radical change in treatment of the media. AND I’ve noted that the media is besides itself – and not covering real stories while they pursue the silliness of the democrats. Meanwhile Trump looks better and better every day.

Not sure whose idea this was, but it certainly appears to be a significant reset of old Washington DC tactics.

    Rock on, Trump!
